Cossack militia attacked the Pussy Riot punk group with horsewhips on Wednesday as the group staged an impromptu performance under a sign advertising the Sochi Olympics.
Six group members — five women and one man — donned their signature ski masks and were pulling out a guitar and microphone when at least 10 Cossacks and other security officials moved in.
One guard appeared to use pepper spray, another whipped several group members while others ripped off their masks and threw the guitar in a rubbish bin.
Police arrived and questioned witnesses, but no one was arrested.
The Cossacks violently pulled masks from women's heads, beating group member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova with a whip as she lay on the ground.
The incident lasted less than three minutes and one Pussy Riot member, a man wearing a bright yellow tank top, was left with blood on his face, saying he had been pushed to the ground.
Pussy Riot, a performance-art collective involving a loose membership of feminists who edit their actions into music videos, has become an international flashpoint for those who contend Putin's government has exceeded its authority, particularly restricting human and gay rights.
The group gained international attention in 2012 after barging into Moscow's main cathedral and performing a "punk prayer" in which they entreated the Virgin Mary to save Russia from Putin, who was on the verge of returning to the Russian presidency for a third term.
Two members of the group, Tolokonnikova and Maria Alekhina, were sentenced to two years in prison, but were released in December under an amnesty bill seen as a Kremlin effort to assuage critics before the Olympics.

How to Make a Lav Mic Sound Better // Tascam DR-10LLavalier (lapel) microphones can be notoriously muddy (meaning nasty clashing frequencies in the low mids that make the higher end harder to hear which diminishes vocal clarity and presence). The mics are incredible handy for low-profile, close-to-the-source audio, but when they are mounted on the subject's chest, collar, shirt, or anywhere else not in the direct front of the mouth, they're going to lose some clarity.
These mics are also TINY compared to other high quality microphones used in professional film production, so even if you could get it ultra close to the source, it would still suffer.

$5 Facebook Ads - Beginner & Advanced FB Advertising Strategy Using $5 Ad Sets, Revealed!Are five dollar Facebook advertising campaigns for rookies only? Absolutely not! Beginners and advanced advertisers alike can leverage the five dollar Facebook ad to increase ROI fast.
One of the most common questions I receive in my Facebook videos is "How much money do I need to get started advertising on Facebook?"
More advanced marketers are always asking "how do I scale my Facebook ad campaigns?"
When used correctly, the five dollar Facebook ad campaign can accomplish both goals!
For beginners or internet marketers with tight budgets, it is obvious... A five dollar per day ad campaign is going to get you exposure on the Facebook ad platform while minimizing the investment required.
Most people don't realize that advanced advertisers are able to leverage these same five dollar Facebook ad campaigns to quickly and effectively test new audiences and interests while minimizing risk.
The best analogy I can come up with is that of roulette.
Player a walks up to the roulette table with 20 $5 chips and places them all on number 18.... The odds are stacked against this player and ultimately they lose their $100 quickly with nothing to show for it.
Player B walks up to a roulette table with 20 $5 chips as well...But takes a different approach.
On the first spin Player B places 20 $5 chips on 20 different numbers.... And hits one! This recoups Player B's Initial investment allowing that player to continue playing, again spreading out the bets.
The best part about Facebook advertising compared to roulette is that once you find something that works, you can double your bet on that and continue to spread your additional bets out on new, untested interests and audiences.
Slowly but surely you are able to create a number of different productive ad sets through testing that you are able to increase your budget and continue running for weeks, months, years on end!
Is important to keep in mind what a statistically significant test is.
You must have enough clicks, leads, sales in your funnel in order to make decisions that are truly based on the data.
If you're basing decisions on 25 clicks or the results from 10 subscribers… There is no statistical significance backing that decision.
If you're basing your decisions on 1000 clicks and 400 subscribers, the data is going to support making a correct decision because of the law of large numbers.
Your conversion rates are going to fluctuate much more with smaller numbers than they will with larger numbers.
This is why it is important when running five dollar Facebook ads to allow these ads to run long enough to obtain the data that you need to make informed and intelligent decisions.
Patience is your friend and ultimately you will get more statistically significant data spending $50 over the course of 10 days then you will from spending $50 in one day.

How to instal the new Facebook Pixel on Wordpress a PluginFacebook has released a new Facebook Pixel that you need to put on your website so that you can create website custom audiences. Website Custom Audiences allow you to do website traffic re-marketing using Facebook Ads.
This video steps you through how to setup the new Facebook Pixel, as well as how to instal it on your Wordpress Website using either the Pixel Your Site plugin or the Header and Footer plugin.
It also demonstrates how to check if your Facebook pixel is working, as well as how to troubleshoot any issues you may have using the Facebook Pixel Helper Chrome Extension Plugin.
Once you have installed this pixel, you can then create multiple website custom audiences, using the one pixel.
