Lupita Nyong'o is such a gorgeous girl, and literally ALL her style and makeup looks have us inspired. We couldn't help but start of with a tutorial that was inspired by the gown she wore to the Oscars this past Sunday.

So we felt that Sigma Beauty's Smoke Screen palette would be the best inspiration for our tutorial featuring the gorgeous Wakiuru. We played with Almost Jet and Nebula shadows, and topped it off with a nude lip and a bronze-y, peach-y cheek- GORG!!

We recently got a chance to play with makeup for an entire afternoon, with the lovely and totally sweet Karen Kaz Lucas- an amazing singer, actor and chef! What was SO COOL is that she brought us lunch- what's not to love?
And she's such a goofball- we had allot of fun!

For this look we used Urban Decay's Naked 3 palette, which is FILLED with gorgeous shades which are beautiful on women of colour, so of course we totally recommend it. Unfortunately, it's not readily available here in Kenya so you'd have to fly it in to the country from Europe or the States.
However, there are quite a few dupes like Sleek's 12 eyeshadow palettes, which are beautiful!

Katya's face remained nude, where we only applied her foundation and a little highlighter, then filled in her brows and added a slight contour in her crease.

A simple, quick way to sculpt your face, using different shades of cream foundation.
The cream foundations used in this video are from CoverGirl's Queen Collection, which I've not found in Nairobi yet. Substitutes could be Sleek's or Black Opal's cream foundations, which can be found at Beauty Options, Super Cosmetics, Our Price and select department stores.
The Studio Kabuki Brush by ELF can be found at Mimosa Pharmacies at Nakumatt Junction, Crossroad Mall Karen, Westage, Ridgeways, the ELF Minishop next to the Greenhouse Mall near Adams Arcade and on www.mystrawberrystore.com (sales@elfkenya.com; +254-722-702111).
**Apr'13- UPDATE**
The cream foundations we used are CoverGirl's Queen Collection Cream Foundations, in Q530 and Q550 (I think). We shot this in mid-2012 before the channel began- quite a while back.

Perfect Eyebrow TutorialHey guys! This is a semi-updated version of how I do my eyebrows. The technique is the same, I just use different products. I actually find the MAC Studio Finish Concealers a heck of a lot easier to work with versus the Select Cover-Up Concealer I originally used in my older video when I first shared with you all how I do them. Plus I'm sure it helps to see me do it on a better quality camera this time around.

(a little goes a LONG way, if you have combination or dry skin make sure you completely moisturize your face before using, it may leave a chalky finish or make sure you set your makeup with a setting mist such as Mac FixPLus or Victoria Secrets face makeupmist)
-Mac Stud Pencil (or you can maybelline define a brown in black/brown)
-Mac studio finish concealer in NW50(to shape top of brow) and NC50(to shape bottom and add highlight)
-BH cosmetic pallet in 2nd edtion and Shimmer Edition I think #4..if you do not own these pallets you can use ANY colors similar to what I used
-Naked Pallet...I used the colors virgin and naked
-Loreal Infalliable Liner in blackest black (applied off camera to the water line)
-Wet-N-Wild liner (applied off camera to top)
