The Top 10 Premiere Pro Transitions You Get For FreeThe top 10 Premiere Pro transitions to add cool effects to your edit
https://cinemagrade.com
One thing I dread is when projects seemingly lacks excitement and pizzaz. I have found though that a few clever tricks can actually make a regular old transition go from boring to, “Wow! How did you do that?”
Those are the kinds of reactions that I love to see from clients and people. I am also finding that it helps keep viewers engaged as video transitions can add movement and rhythm.
So here’s what you get. I wanted to do something really cool and make these Premiere Pro Transitions free to you. I have created a project file that you can download at the link below and use on your next edit.
To add these transitions:
- Pan left
- Pan right
- Rotation right
- Rotation left
- Shake
- Chromatic aberration
- Tilt up
- Tilt down
- Zoom in
- Zoom out

Color Grading in Premiere Pro CC - Get Pro Film LookColor grading in Premiere Pro CC to get a pro film look
https://www.colorgradingcentral.com/color-grading-in-premiere-pro-cc
If you you're looking to make the look of your films standout and get your career to the next level but struggle with the color grading aspect... let this tutorial help you finally feel like you have a good grasp on making your images to look the way that you want them to and get a pro film look!
I have been where you have been and so I know that it can seem intimidating with all the different color correction tutorials and LUTs that are out there. Muddy looking images, shots that down't match together, skin tones that don't look quite right and that feeling of not knowing where to stop or when the grade looks right.
You can do it! Even if you're just a beginner or just starting out let this tutorial help you feel confident in Premiere Pro CC!
After I had tried everything to improve the look of my films, e.g. new camera, better grip, better lenses and cinematography training, the thing that finally helped my films look professional and land my first career job was what I did after the video edit in the color grade.
Adobe Premiere has made great strides not only advancing their editorial platform but in improving their color tools. In fact with the acquisition of Iridis SpeedGrade (a professional grading system) they have incorporated those industry standard tools now into Lumetri.
If you liked this tutorial and want a step-by-step training that goes all the way from familiarizing yourself with the tools to discovering the top grading secrets I want to invite you to free online workshop:
Or if you're just looking for something completely different and an easier alternative you can check out our plugin we've made for the Mac that's mentioned in the video:
Premiere Pro - Faster Selects WorkflowI'm giving away one of my best kept secrets -- This is a premiere workflow that allows you to quickly toggle through video clips in the source window, without ever leaving the keyboard.

Continuing from my Lightroom Import process, here is how I import and organise my video files for the vlogs I edit with Adobe Premiere Pro. The key to efficiency is to set up templates for repetitive tasks to streamline the process!
If you're looking to learn more about making videos and how to improve your process, hopefully this video will help you out!
This video covers how to import video footage, organise video files and then finally import them into Premiere Pro before beginning to edit the video.
At some point, I will make a tutorial on how I edit my videos and further how I colour grade them.

How to use Proxy Files to Edit SUPER FAST in Premiere Pro!❗ Download my FREE Proxy Preset: https://go.whoismatt.com/proxypreset/
Is your computer too slow to edit 4K video? Or do you have a fast computer that still lags when you are editing 4K, 6K, or even 8K footage? This video will show you how to create proxy files to MASSIVELY speed up your video editing speed, regardless of the specs of your computer.
This is my entire workflow for creating video proxies, including my exact preset settings for both Mac and PC. You can also download my proxy preset (linked above) to save you the time of creating your own.
Lastly, I cover how to create proxies even if you interpret your footage! If you've tried doing this before, you've probably noticed that the frame rates of your proxy files don't match up with your native video files. My workaround fixes this issue. :)
😃 I recommend watching my "Frame Rates Explained Video", which will go in detail about how I shoot and edit video that is multiple frame rates: https://youtu.be/gf1od2xCaFY

Today I revisit an old topic, scrolling credits. With the new addition, (Or rather the old addition) of the roll button, scrolling credits just got a whole lot easier. Now you can use the text tool to get the old roll and crawl that used to be with the old Title Creator.

Have you ever felt confused about video loudness? What are the standards for that? And if you find that out, how do you even find out how "loud" your video is? It can be very confusing. In this video I hope to break down this issue into very digestable nuggets of info that you can use to achieve consistent loudness over time! Premiere Pro has a handy tool called the "Loudness Radar" which analyzes in real time the average loudness of your audio. You can then use that data to make important mastering decisions to get your video to the correct loudness!

Premiere Pro CC Tutorial | Simple Color Correcting and Color Grading with Lumetri ColorAdobe Premiere Pro CC Video Editing Tutorial: Lumetri Color for Simple Color Grading and Color Correction While Video Editing. Color Grading and Correction is one of the more important task in video editing if you want polished high quality videos.
Premiere Pro CC 2015 introduced the Lumetri Color Panel which is much faster and simpler way to color correct and color grade video footage. This is much more refined than just using the 3 Way Color Corrector tool, and it also has several great presets you can use to help you get a great look for your footage.
You can also still use the Lumetri Color feature with Adjustment Layers and you can still export the results as Custom Preset you can reuse whenever you are doing video editing and color grading.

How to Make a Lav Mic Sound Better // Tascam DR-10LLavalier (lapel) microphones can be notoriously muddy (meaning nasty clashing frequencies in the low mids that make the higher end harder to hear which diminishes vocal clarity and presence). The mics are incredible handy for low-profile, close-to-the-source audio, but when they are mounted on the subject's chest, collar, shirt, or anywhere else not in the direct front of the mouth, they're going to lose some clarity.
These mics are also TINY compared to other high quality microphones used in professional film production, so even if you could get it ultra close to the source, it would still suffer.

Tutorial: 5 Time-Saving Premiere Pro Productivity Tips and TricksEditing is really all about putting pieces of a puzzle together so that they fit in the most optimal way. Sometimes the puzzle pieces are really easy to work with and fit together seamlessly; other times, it may seem like you’re forcing somewhat matching pieces together that don’t really fit and the puzzle only kind of looks right, but you’re out of time and need to move on.
Either way, you need to stay productive and efficient to get through any roadblocks, so here are some things you can do in Adobe Premiere to keep yourself going through the editing process.

5 shortcuts in Premiere Pro you must use | Cinecom.netLearn how to use some more unpopular shortcuts in Adobe Premiere Pro that will enhance your video editing workflow a lot better. Read More:
Shortcuts or short keys allow you to edit a lot faster and more accurate. The more shortcuts you use, the better a workflow can be. But of course it's not so convenient to learn all the hundreds of shortcuts, so that's why we've picked out 5 actions which will enhance your workflow a lot more.
We start with a very nice shortcut that does multiple actions with one press of a button. To trim off the beginning of a clip you need to press Q. It will not only remove the first piece before your play head but also close the gap. The same goes for the last part, which you need to press W for.
The next shortcut is something we need to create first. From the keyboard shortcuts menu we can assign one for "Bypass Lumetri Color Effects". When holding down that key you can see the before and after from your color grading.
Often looking for a clip you already used? You could search your project window, but there's an easier way. Just select the desired clip form your timeline and press the shortcut F. It will open the source clip inside the source monitor form which you can select a new part now.
The fourth shortcut is a combination of the Alt + arrow keys. This will nudge your clips within time or even within different channels. It's much more accurate than using your mouse. To nudge by bigger steps also hold down the shift key when doing so.
And finally we'll have a look to faster zoom and scroll through your timeline. You can simply use your scroll wheel to scroll, but you can also hold the Alt key while doing so to zoom in your timeline. The action will follow the position of your mouse pointer.

37 "Need to Use" Keyboard Shortcuts for Premiere ProRead the full show notes at: http://www.DIYVideoGuy.com/tv14
Video editing already takes long enough, so let's speed things up with some of my favorite keyboard shortcuts and save you some time.
In this video I show you 37 different keyboard shortcuts I use while editing videos.
Now, I'm going to be showing you these shortcuts in Adobe Premiere Pro CC, but if you're using another video editing app like Final Cut Pro X, iMovie, or any other program, many of the same principles will apply to you as well.
This is one of my longer videos, but I wanted to make sure I broke down how I use each shortcut and demonstrated how you could too.
Also, I've created custom keyboard shortcuts that I've pulled from other video editors I've learned from in-person and online, so these aren't the default shortcuts built into Premiere, but if you're just getting started, practice learning the built-in shortcuts first by hovering over buttons before clicking them or seeing the command to the right of the action in the drop-down menus.
Don't try to implement all of these at once. Just pick a handful to start using and once those become a habit, add in some more. The less you use your mouse while editing the faster you'll get.
You can watch the video above, directly on YouTube, or through an iTunes Video Podcast.

Freddie's Keyboard Shortcuts [For Editing]Keyboard shortcuts (also called “hot keys”) assign the commands and tools of your editing program to specific keys on your keyboard, allowing you to access them instantly. Most editing programs already have default keyboard shortcuts programmed in, but allow you to customize them to your liking. Freddie has a unique keyboard layout that allows him to, as he calls it, "edit at the speed of thought."
(Please keep in mind, this video is about the customization of your keyboard. A pre-requisite tutorial on the different types of tools found within editing programs is in the works!)
In this video, Freddie shows you his personal keyboard layout and explains why he has certain tools placed on certain keys, and how this customized set up allows him to focus on story rather than the tech.

There are a lot of huge features in this Premiere Pro Creative Cloud update, but by the time we release this video, you've probably heard all about those already. So instead of talking about all of the headline-grabbing features, which Adobe announced at NAB 2016, we are going to talk about the little things that you probably haven't heard anything about. I'm a firm believer that while the big features can be great, sometimes it can be the little adjustments which make a bigger difference to our daily lives as editors. So let's talk about what's new and changed and go over what is covered in this video.

A question I often hear from new users, is how to properly relay 5.1 Audio in Premiere Pro CC? Of course, there are a lot of different ways to do this, and we actually covered the topic several years ago, but we wanted to go over it again, as some of the dialogues have changed and things are slightly different than they used to be. This workflow is intended for users who are not mixing five one sound themselves, but are merely taking a mix from an audio engineer and putting it to their final sequence. Again, there are many ways to do this, so you may have success doing it other ways, but this is how we recommend for both working in Premiere, exporting from Premiere, and screening your final exports back in Premiere. Please keep in mind, to properly monitor five one audio, you'll need a compatible audio setup. We're using an AJA Kona ioXT with a five one compatible receiver.

Editing Essentials Bundle for Premiere Proget the Editing Essentials Bundle for Premiere Pro at
http://aescripts.com/editing-essentials-bundle/
Hello, this is Eric D. Kirk for mamoworld.com and welcome to the overview of the "Editing Essentials Bundle" for Adobe Premiere Pro.
The toolset consists of three extensions for Premiere Pro: BeatEdit, QuickImporter and Still Exporter
Let's start with BeatEdit
A great edit is one that has a great rhythmic flow with the music. BeatEdit automatically detects beats in the music and represents them as markers in the Premiere Pro timeline. This can be the basis of a new edit or can be used to make fully automatic edits synced to music.
QuickImporter is a next generation file import dialog. Just enter some keywords and QuickImporter searches thought thousands of files instantly. Due to its build-in audio player, it is also the perfect tool to browse music or sound effect libraries. And thanks to its fuzzy search technology, it even finds results if you misspell your search term.
Furthermore, QuickImporter does not only support Premiere Pro but also works in After Effects.
Still Exporter greatly simplifies the process to export still images from Premiere Pro. You just set markers at the frames you want to export, choose the file format and Still Exporter takes care of everything else.
BeatEdit, QuickImporter and Still Exporter - that's the "Editing Essentials Bundle".
Three indispensable tools for your editing workflows with Adobe Premiere Pro.
Walk Through
PDFviewer OverviewPDFviewer will be the best utility in your editing arsenal. You can open any PDF file inside the Adobe Premiere Pro interface. This will save you countless hours of switching back and forth to other applications and resizing the Adobe Premiere Pro interface. Great for Scripts, Transcriptions, Storyboards and Script Notes. On top of all that its green. Save a Tree!

How to Sync Audio and Video Premiere Pro CCIf you want to get the best audio for your film and video, recording sound separately from your camera is usually the best strategy. This is how they do it in most high production value programs and movies.
But one of the first thoughts that most people have when they consider this strategy is, "...but this will take a lot of time in post..." That used to be the case but now even Premiere Pro has built-in functionality to sync the footage from your camera with the audio from your field recorder. Check out how easy it is.

Lighting White Seamless Pt. 2Here is the second part of lighting a white seamless. In part one I covered the basics in terms of gear and space and demonstrated how this all works with video lights. For part two I cover doing this same thing with strobes and then go into some post production tips and tricks in Photoshop.
As with all of my YouTube videos, there is a blog post associated with it with more information, links, etc. That's also where I spend the most time answering questions, comments, and concerns. Find this blog post here...

PS - Apologies for the video artifacts. When OS 10.9.3 came out it broke something in OpenCL between my video cards and Premiere. It's a well documented issue that hopefully someone is going to fix really damn soon.

There are obvious shortcuts that everyone needs to know, like how to use the arrow tool or the blade tool, and then there are shortcuts that are a little less obvious. Those are the shortcuts that I'm hoping to go over in this video. Chances are if you are seasoned in Premiere, you know some of these, but hopefully I can shed some light on some that you didn't know, including some custom keyboard shortcuts that I set up.

Adobe Premiere Pro for Absolute BeginnersNew to Premiere Pro? In this tutorial I show you how to create a video using Adobe Premiere Pro.
There are 6 simple steps:
1. Create a project
First you need to create a new project. Select a location and filename to save your project file and any temporary files Adobe Premiere will create.
2. Import media
The very first thing you need to do once you created your project is to import some media. You can import video, audio, image and other types of media files - Premiere Pro is pretty flexible.
3. Create a sequence
A sequence is a container for your media files, a template that you can use to organise your clips and then export into a final video file. There are multiple ways to create a sequence. The easiest way is to drag a piece of media directly onto the 'New Item' icon.
4. Add transitions
Transitions are used to blend between two consecutive clips. You can find a large number of transitions in Premiere Pro in the Effects panel. Open up the 'Video Transitions' folder and drag the transition you want onto the start or the cut between the clips in your sequence.
5. Add effects
In the Effects panel in Premiere Pro you will find the 'Video Effects' folder. You can find a large number of cool deformation, colour correction, styling effects inbuilt into Premiere Pro. Simply drag the effect onto the clip you want to apply them to. With the clip selected, you can tweak the effect parameter in the Effects Control panel.
6. Working with Titles
Titles are usually text elements, but can also contain icons and graphics, that overlay your footage. You can create titles by clicking on the New Item -- Title option in the project panel. In the title editor you can then define the elements in your title. Once you created the title, simply drag it from the project panel into your Sequence to use it.
7. Exporting your sequence
Once you are happy with your sequence, you can export it. Before you can export a sequence you need to place the start and end markers - you can do this by positioning the timeline indicator where you want, right clicking it and selecting 'Mark In' and 'Mark Out'. This will define the working area of your sequence and tell Premiere which parts of the sequence you want to export.
With your working area defined, make sure the sequence is selected, then go to File -- Export -- Media. Select your export format and your target filename and then set any other options that you like.
I usually like to keep my bit rate between 10 - 20. I find it gives me decent video quality at a reasonable file size.

Understanding Exports - Video TutorialThis video takes a practical approach as I go through the interface of Adobe Media Encoder, which both Premiere Pro and After Effects use, explaining what each of the sliders and checkboxes means and giving some guidelines about how and when to use them. You don't have to have seen my first tutorial first, but it will definitely help!
This tutorial follows on from my last tutorial, How Codecs Work. In that video, I explain the principles that codecs use to compress data efficiently - at least, I gave a good summary, since giving all the details would take weeks! They really are quite complex. http://vimeo.com/104554788
