Description: This unit will provide an overview of the underlying motivations of elective patients, discuss the difference in the elective patient versus the traditional patient, and review the keys to understanding elective patients. Goals: To gain a greater insight into what patients want what is important to them and the emotional component of deciding to seek elective services.
