Laparoscopy is also referred to as Laparoscopic keyhole surgery. It is so named because during the surgery it made sure that minimum incisions are made while performing the procedure. The most common areas include the abdomen/gastrointestinal tract or the reproductive tract of women. In the procedure of Laparoscopy, a small and thin tube is inserted inside the pelvis or abdomen area to which a camera is attached. This tube is inserted with a small incision which is commonly known as a cut. The purpose of the camera is to give the surgeon a good viewpoint inside the internal organs and tissues.
