Today I'm snowboarding on Blackcomb mountain with my girlfriend Gill on an incredible powder day! Gill is an intermediate snowboarder and still learning to snowboard in powder. I thought that as I teach her to snowboard in powder that I could share the tips with you as well. The most important skills for snowboarding in powder is to keep your weight over your tail, spray snow to control your speed and keep your speed up through flat areas. If you do get stuck in the powder the easiest way to get out is to roll over onto your knees. Another problem can be sliding out on your heel edge. To fix this try and spray snow an equal amount on your snowboards toe edge as you do on your heels. Have fun snowboarding in powder and leave and question you have in the comments! Thanks for watching!
