Spot Fire

submitted by Huzzaz on 03/20/24 1

In 2016, a wildfire swept through the town of Fort McMurray, Alberta, causing widespread destruction and forcing the evacuation of over 88,000 people. The fires and their aftermath were recorded by residents using video cameras, cellphones, drones, dash cams, and home security cameras. Through their diverse and often harrowing accounts, Spot Fire offers a peculiar look at the ways we document the ongoing impact of disasters exacerbated by climate change. Compiled from 50+ hours of YouTube footage.
