Ted Olson is a lawyer who served as U.S. assistant attorney general under Reagan and solicitor general under George W. Bush. He has argued cases in front of the Supreme Court, including Bush v. Gore and Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. This interview was conducted by FRONTLINE’s Jim Gilmore on November 5, 2020. It has been edited for clarity and length.
